Welcome!

Hi! I’m Disha, an engineer and a lifelong learner. My story begins in the quiet town in India where I spent my growing years before moving to the city to pursue higher education. This shift from a small-town classroom to a bustling city campus instilled in me an enduring love for exploration, adaptation, and the thrill of learning, whether it is dissecting algorithms, diving into philosophy, or satisfying my insatiable curiosity about how things work.

When I’m not coding or experimenting with algorithms, you’ll find me with my pup, Yumi, a freshly brewed coffee in hand, a book (my Kindle goes everywhere with me!). “Create everyday” is my mantra – from painting watercolor landscapes, melting wax for encaustic art, carving rubber stamps, or more recently tattoo art practice. I’ve also channeled this energy into writing, completing a 52k-words manuscript during NaNoWriMo 2023.

Life, for me, is about balance (which I struggle with most days). Mornings begin with silence (no alarms!) and the ritual of grinding beans for my first cup of coffee, while evenings wind down with yoga/meditation. I love being outdoors, walking around, hiking trails, skiing green slopes, biking, or swimming and find rhythm strumming a ukulele with friends.

Health struggles, including a years-long battle with stomach issues and ongoing allergy challenges, taught me resilience. Through dietary shifts guided by Luke Coutinho’s team (Thank you Sarmishtha!), I reclaimed my well-being, a journey that solidified my belief in mindful living and clean eating. Now, I’m passionate about empowering others, whether mentoring emerging talent, volunteering with Books to Prisoners (sending books to incarcerated individuals), or sharing insights through my upcoming blog.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my partner, who embraces every quirk, curiosity, and kitchen experiment. Together, we believe in building a life that blends purpose, creativity, and kindness – one day, one project, and one wag of Yumi’s tail at a time.

Let’s connect! Whether you’re here for tech insights, book recommendations, or a chat about AI, I’m thrilled to have you along for the journey.
