Self-launch: reimagining myself as a product

Personal Press Release (2028)

For my first blog post ever, I’m trying something inspired by Amazon: writing a “press release” for a product that doesn’t exist yet. It’s like a story from the future, describing how a product will impact customers. Think of it as my vision board, but in press release format.

Disha is a problem solver by profession, a painter at heart, and a provider by nature. As an active mentor, she has offered free guidance to over 100 tech professionals worldwide. Her recently launched online course on workplace advancement and imposter syndrome, Ask for It, has helped participants secure promotions and leadership roles. What started as a hobby, the Women’s Collective Book Club, has now grown into a leadership training platform, impacting professionals across industries.

Disha’s recent research focuses on responsible AI, particularly in creating explainable AI solutions to minimize user harm and bias. Her open-source work is currently utilized by over 1,000 developers to build production systems. She has also contributed to solving quantum error correction problems using AI, with applications in cybersecurity, a project born purely of intellectual curiosity.

Inspired by structural abstraction and cubism, Disha’s latest watercolor series explores themes of flow and intuitive creation. The collection received positive reviews at a local art gallery and is under consideration for an international showcase. Her next project will feature AR/VR immersive storytelling, depicting cross-cultural narratives of working women. Beyond art, Disha enjoys skiing, playing the ukulele, and learning Mandarin.

Disha actively shares insights into navigating the tech industry and career development through her blog. She has authored three books and is currently writing “A Cat Has Nine Lives,” an innovative live-novel combining magical realism with digital integration. This unique format invites readers to contribute their stories anonymously, creating a collaborative narrative that is updated weekly.

“My vision is to think beyond boundaries, connecting technology, art, writing, and community building to create meaningful change,” says Disha. “By empowering others, we shape an inclusive future where creativity and innovation drive progress. It’s not just about individual success; it’s about inspiring a movement that encourages others to dream bigger and achieve more.”

Disha’s upcoming initiatives include:

  • An AI-Art Mentorship Platform: A space to tell stories through technology and art.
  • Partnerships with Universities: Responsible AI certification programs for emerging tech talent.
  • The Legacy Archive: A digital repository preserving women’s contributions to tech.
